Hi there, just started experimenting with timeline fx and find it very cool.
For making something like a splatter effect how would I go about it?
Thanks
Jack
Do you mean like a blood splat or something?
Hi Peter.
Well I guess it could be blood but with more more viscosity.
This is kind of how I want my paint to look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GURvHJNmGrc
hehe i’ve been curious about splatter FX as well. Was suprised not to see a ‘splat’ of sorts in the line of ‘liquid’ based FX. But its harder to do that considering how random the spread would be. You have the linear stretched ‘branches’ of the splat, and also the smaller spawned circular splats in proximity to the POI (point of impact)
Has anyone tried this yet? I am going to give it a go today but it looks hard and not sure where to start
Peter can you help?
yes I shall give it a go 🙂
Cheers Peter.
I am using weight and velocity
I to am looking for a blood splat explosion, I basically want to explode a 2d character, then remove the character when the explosion is at its peak, leaving just the explosion. Character is handled in code, just need an effect that can do a generic body explosion???
I had a quick go, I used an emitter from the environment library (Splash) and played about with it, using it as a sub effect to create some big splats. grab it here: Blood Splats
Might be nice to add a few chunks in there if you can find the right particle shape 🙂
Wow, thanks a million, that is awsome, I shall mess about with that and try to get some chunks in. Problem there is I have not had time to dedicate to this program yet, I dabled with it a while ago, but have mostly forgot what I did :(.
Again, cant thank you enough for your help….
