New update up on downloads page, I’m hoping people with intel GFX (GfK!) can test this out and let me know, the graphs should no loner be dependent on OpenGL, so hopefully it helps things on those cards.
The other change is the shape name now appears on the particle tab.
Downloading now…
[edit] The graph tab now works fine, as does the preview window. After minimising the app, though, the preview window stops working. Its just grey. 🙁 The particle counter at the bottom is still fluctuating as if particles are being drawn somewhere.
Hmm, this is interesting. I enabled “paint mode”, and things started drawing again, but with squares around every particle. Even when I turned paint mode off again, the squares remained.
See attached.
ok, thanks for testing it. It is interesting that it starts again with paint mode, if I can just fix the alpha issue then maybe it can be reset somehow each time it’s restored.
Yeah, maybe that’d work. Might be worth mentioning that I get the above effect in (and after using) paint mode, even when the app has not been minimised.
Either way, whatever happens when I turn paint mode on, is kicking the preview window back into life.
Hello, I’m currently on my mums laptop that has an intel mobile 965. Just installed the trial version (1.06) and everything is working fine, minimising, maximising, restoring etc., doesn’t seem to cause any problems. It’s running Windows XP, and the driver version according to dx diagnostics is 6.14.0010.4906 dated 19.12.2007, so I’m guessing they’re a bit out of date. Going to get the latest drivers and see what happens…
[edit]Paint mode did break it though, completely, as in program stopped responding 🙄
Well, that’s no good, it’s a Toshiba laptop and apprently it won’t let you install Intels driver, it has to be its own custom driver. I’ll probably have to uninstall the drivers before installing the intel ones probably, but I’m running out of time. Might ask to borrow the laptop so I can properly break it 😀
