Turn off transparency?

Is there a way to remove all transparency in an imported animation? By default they have a kind of “additive” effect where brighter spots in a pic will be more opaque while darker spots will be translucent. I’m going for a more cartoonish/retro aesthetic with little to no transparency, so was wondering if this can be toggled at all.
If you select Full Colour option under “File > Import Options” then it should keep all the colours and transparency in the shapes that you import as they are in the image. I think that’s what you mean? Let me know if it helps.
