unwa007ParticipantDear Rigsoft:
My name is Chai, a game developer from Chai Studio.
I’ve checked your software, TImelineFX Editor. It’s very interesting.
So, I would like to put in my game projects from now on.Here is my recent game: Star Ship Esper
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/star-ship-esper/id412561857?mt=8&uo=4I’ve directly download TimelineFX Editor 1.25 from you websites.
and Try to install on 3 PCs ( 2 Windows XP, 1 Windows Vista)
Also, I try to install on my MacBook Pro as well.Unfortunately, I cannot open your program after installed on PCs, and Mac.
Could you help me to check if it’s possible that something wrong with your software?
Or, I miss something when I instaill?Your software screen will pop up for 1 second.
Then, it automatically closes itself. If you have any question, please do not hesitate to PM me.
Best regards,
CHAI

imported_peterigzParticipantHello,
As this problem happens on all your PCs then there must be something common on all of them that is causing it, and my initial guess is something to do with the language your PCs/Mac are using.
What language are your operating systems using, and what character set? Once I know this then I will research why that might be happening.
Thanks! Peter.

unwa007ParticipantI set Thai Fonts for Thailand.
If you need more information, please let me know.January 8, 2011 at 4:48 pm #3871
imported_peterigzParticipantCould you download and try this version, which is exactly the same, but it will create a log that you will find in your installation folder called log.txt. I think on XP it will be in your installation folder directly, but on Vista you might find it in Users/%username%/AppData/Local/VirtualStore/Program Files (x86)/TimelineFX/log.txt.
If you could run the program and then copy/paste the contents on the log file here that would be great!download link here: http://www.rigzsoft.co.uk/files/TestFiles/TimelineFXEditorSetup.exe
Thanks, Peter.

wiebowParticipantLooks like there is something happening with your network connection. That would also explain why the problem occurs with ALL your machines, regardless of OS type.

unwa007ParticipantSO, do you have any suggestion what I should do?
These pics are my internet connection configuration:

wiebowParticipantI dont think your OS network settings are the problem, as you have the problem on all machines, not just Windows. I suspect your internal access point (router). Maybe Pete can tell you how to turn off automatic version checking and go from there. Or if you have a firewall active on your router maybe you can check the logs on there as well.

unwa007ParticipantMr. Pete , could you help me in this issue?
January 11, 2011 at 12:59 pm #3882
imported_peterigzParticipantThanks for posting the log 🙂
In theory if it’s a network problem then it should just timeout and continue to run the program, not crash like that, but it does seem to connect ok as it’s managed to get the version number. I’ll compile a version that doesn’t check for updates soon and we’ll see if that works. Be back soon 🙂

imported_peterigzParticipantOk, I’ve done another version that does not check for updates, let me know if it works ok 🙂
